Idea: Film Idea Development

 Introduction

Today in class, my AICE Media Studies team and me began to develop ideas from our research. Our group goal is to make a movie that is perfect with a purpose to wow my audience. We were given a worksheet that assisted "us with our idea by looking at the following filmmaking key concepts in the production of the film:

Genre- Genre is a term that describes and categorises different types of media texts. A film genre is a category for motion pictures based on similarities either in the narrative elements, aesthetic approach, or the emotional response to the film. Ex: Action

Target Audience- A target audience is a specific group of people that products, services, or marketing efforts are aimed toward. Ex: College Students

Demographics- Demographics refer to the various characteristics of a population. Ex: gender

Psychographics- 

1. the study and classification of people according to their attitudes, aspirations, and other psychological criteria, especially in market research. Ex: comfort

Accessibility of film- Having people with disabilities behind and in front of the camera makes for better and more inclusive stories, even if the project is not disability related.

Representation- the description or portrayal of someone or something in a particular way or as being of a certain nature. Ex: 

• The farmers demanded greater representation in parliament.

Stereotypes-a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. Ex: Americans.

Social groups- A social group is defined as:

• Two or more individuals who share a common social identification and perceive themselves as members of the same social category.

Setting (Time and Place)- Setting is the time and place (or when and where) of the story.

Reflection

 I learned that not everything is easy. The way I feel about our idea I the audience will be pleased about our idea of our film. To find this movie it will be on Netfilx and Tubi a Hulu. The way we came up with our final idea was to think about our black brother background. The three words to describe our film is action. drama and mystery.

Idea 1: Final Group Formation

 Introduction

I have chosen to create a film opening for Component One with three classmates with whom I have worked all year.

My group consists of Me, Carl Mabou and Gum Ring, the name of our production is called Crimson Peak Studios. We came up with Crimson Peak Studios because since we are doing a crime movie, crime involves blood, and that is where we got the crimson part, the peak part is from watch Paramount Plus movies.

Paragraph 2

The types of genre I like to consume are action movies. the film themes of action movies are Good vs Evil and Family and loyalty. My favorite movie is Spiderman because it tells a story about a boy named Peter parker, and Peter always got bullied until he was bitten by a radioactive spider that gave him superpowers to do good in the world. The producers use costumes, character design, and set design to engage me in the movie. the thing I learned in this movie is that good always prevails, I think my group mates like the same movies as me because who doesn't love an action  packed movie.

 Reflection 

Carl Mabou- Carl's strength is his listening because if me or Gum miss something he's got our back. Gum Ring- Gum's strength is checking, if me or carl did something wrong in our group assignments he would go back and check it over to see if everything is good. What we need to do better is to stay consistent because we already missed 6,7,8,9, preliminary exercise's so we need to stay on task. I collaborate by giving the ideas and help out with the group assignments. We talk in 3rd period to communicate in school and after either phone calls or text of Instagram.
